Happy Thanksgiving!

After a year of many difficulties and changes, after a lifetime of trials and errors, of lessons taught and received, of people coming and going, Thanksgiving is the only day we say thanks for what we have? what about give thanks for what we don't have? ; did you ever thought of that? Do you give thanks for what you have on a regular basis? I think if we don't have something either spiritual of temporary (material) it's for a reason, we are not ready to handle it; give thanks for that, someone out there is thinking of you and what you need to have, My mother says "God will squeeze but won;t strangle", what we receive every day, air sunshine, rain, cold, food, a "good morning", are enough reasons to say "Thanks for what I'm receiving today"
Thanks for my friends, Thanks for the lessons I receive every day, they help me live and grow, they prepare me for my future, I give thanks for what I have and what I don't, I give thanks for my family and my wonderful husband, he is a big help and my big love, he is my "knight in shiny armor" I give thanks that the Lord put him in my way, and me on his, I give thanks for my little girl, she had brought out the goodness and cheerfulness out of me, she is a blessing to have. I give thanks for my son, having him has help me grow and learn. I give thanks for my life and my health. For all that and the things I don't see, I give thanks, Today and every day.
Happy Thanksgiving

I like that perspective - giving thanks for the things we haven't been given - it's another way to think about how much God loves us. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family too! C

Scripture of the Day

"Bring ye all the tithes
into the storehouse, that
there may be meat in mine house,
and prove me now herewith,
saith the Lord of hosts;
if I will not open you the
windows of heaven, and pour
you out a blessing, that
there shall not be room enough
to receive it
