Where the Time Goes?

I was talking to my niece today, she is around 22 or so, and she has a little girl named Katrina (don't ask) that will be 1 on January 26th the same day that my brother (her father) will turn 44, go figure. As we talked about things and everything, I picture her in my mind as this mischievous baby that she was, I can pass that age, I cant' believe that my little baby niece has a baby, I can believe that she had grown.
Karina calls me quite often, which is a good thing since we were not that close when she was a teenager or even before that. There is a space of time that she is absent of my memories, she wasn't there at all, now she calls me and I go to visit her every now and then, she lives in PA very far from me, so we have to plan the visits, but I really enjoy talking to her.
I have 5 nieces Elena is 33 and have two boys one is 7 and the other is 5, Isabel is 27 she just got married in October 28th Steven and my mom went to Costa Rica for the wedding.
Katherine is 24, and is married to this guy who is in the Marines, he just came from Iraq but he is stationed in North Carolina, and Katherine is living in Costa Rica, no idea why. She has no kids yet. Karina who is 22. And Abby, Abigail, she is 8 months and is so funny and happy.
As I sit to contemplate the past I realized how much I had miss because I lived my own life, or maybe because I rushed to my own future; let us slow down in life; things will get to us on its due time. Meanwhile let us enjoy and live the today, so we can have less regrets tomorrow.
Enjoy Life.

Merry Christmas to all!

Merry Christmas, It's so nice to be able to say that without thinking I'm going to offend someone, I say it and the heck with the one who gets offended, WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU?. . .
Yesterday my UPS guy came with some boxes I was waiting since Friday, he is so nice that I gave him a tip, he's been here so many times, that we miss him when he's not around. Anyway, I said to him Merry Christmas and he kind of look surprised, it took him back for a split second, maybe he was told at his job not to say it, maybe he was told to say Happy Holidays instead of Merry Christmas, maybe he's Jewish, anyway I said Merry Christmas and I said it first, after he put the boxes on my front room before he left I could read his mind (I'm getting good at it :D ) he could see the kind of trouble he could get just for saying it back, people are mean and could get offended for saying such words. (Again WHAT'S WRONG WITH THIS PEOPLE?) . . . But he saw my happiness, (I got my boxes on time) and he could hear the sincerity in my voice, that he said Merry Christmas back to me.

It was so nice the expression on his face like he was relief that he could say it, Like he was holding a pee for the whole day and finally he got to go; he left with a smile on his face, it could be the tip, or maybe the my words, whatever it was I had been saying merry Christmas to everybody I got in contact with, if I was more familiar with other less popular holidays I'm can guarantee that I would be saying have a happy _________ .

Let's spread the word with no cares in the word let us say Merry Christmas to all and to all shut the heck up.
Have a merry Christmas

My friend Husband Died

Someone I know husband's died on Sunday, we found out yesterday when she wasn't in our meeting, I wrote her a small note about it, we were doing it as a group. I try to explain to her is very soft words that she will see him again.
I love to think "Is not a Good Bye it's an I see you later", I'm glad i have this knowledge, and this faith that we will see our love ones some day.

Happy Holidays

Christmas is near

Christmas is the time to think about our personal lives and those around us. Have you noticed how charitable we get around Christmas time? . . . Is it that we remember Christ and his life, and realized that to get to heaven we need to be more like Him? too late; we should be like Him every day of the year. In Rebecca's class; few weeks ago she mention that our book of life (sorry the name scape my mind right now) it wont' be written our wrong doings, but our good deeds. I like that, Our Father in Heaven wants to see if we were good throughout the year and not only on Christmas time.
I blame the commercialism, they make it seem like "This is the time to get together" with your family, is the time to BUY them gifts and "Don't forget anybody". It's the time of joy and cheer, not the time to be alone, SO; a million of people get depress because they are alone.
What about the 13th of January or maybe the 6th of July? what about the 19th of may? why can't those days be a time to be together, to Cheer with family members and to "BUY" them gifts? why the whole year couldn't be a time to be Charitable and remember those who don't have the basic needs? Why been charitable can't be commercialized? is it too Corny to be charitable?
My favorite season is Autumn, I go all year wishing for Halloween to come soon. . .Can we go all year living like Christmas is near and have that wonderful spirit?

Merry Christmas.

Merry Christmas

I been working on two fund raisers, one for Steven's old elementary School and the second one for Samantha's preschool; all together we got close to $3500 on sales, it would bring close to $300 to one school and around $800 to another, since is a school they get tax exemptions cool, so their earnings are greater, I could get some earnings out it, but at this point I want Samantha's school to know the potential of earning they could get with an Avon Fund Raiser so all the earnings will be given to the school. Steven's old school won't do much this year, people didn't participate as well as last year.

Now the fun part will start, I will be getting one of the shipments today, I hope it will be early, I will have to separate products and make packages to be delivered soon, I just hope I will be done before my second shipment comes, then my costumer's products will be here so This will be a Very busy week too.

Lucky for me I have prepare my church classes ahead of time, I have everything done until the end of the year; so i can focus myself in the fund raiser.

Christmas is coming and I need to do some shopping, #1 for Elder Joseph, #2 for the Christmas tree, then for everybody else. So Merry Christmas to all and to all a Good Day

Christmas is Comming

Unbelievable; today is November 30th 25 days before Christmas, (fifteen days before our Christmas party) :) Steven wants a Nintendo Wii, I want him to keep his room clean, so he is not getting it, Samantha wants a pretty dress for Christmas and a picture camera, (she's cheap) sadly I haven't found anything really nice for her (that she likes) she had her little heart set on a pretty dress she saw in Walt mart of course it was the last one and 2 sizes too small, so I'm still looking for that pretty dress she wants for Christmas, Of course I'm looking forward to a nice dinner with my family, My niece is Coming from Costa Rica with her brand new Husband they'll be here some time this month, so I'm looking forward for that one, also my sister in law is coming from Arizona, would be nice to see her, she hasn't been here in Waterbury ever, and last time we saw her was on 9/11 , so we are due to see her.
I just receive a nice e-mail from Rose about Christmas, here's her note, something to think about:

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
T'was the month before Christmas,
When all through our land,
Not a Christian was praying
Nor taking a stand.
The PC Police had taken away
The reason for Christmas - no one could say.
The children were told by schools not to sing
About Shepherds and Wise Men, Angels and things.
It might hurt people's feelings, the teachers would say,
December 25th is just another " Holiday ".
Yet, the shoppers were ready
With cash, checks and credit,
Pushing folks to the floor
To make sure they get it!
CDs from Madonna, an XBox and I-Pod,
Something was changing, something quite odd.
Retailers promoted Ramadan and Kwanzaa
Hoping to sell books by Franken and Fonda.
As Targets were hanging their trees upside down,
At Lowe's, the word "Christmas" was not to be found.
At K-Mart and Staples and Penny's and Sears,
You won't hear "Christmas"; it won't touch your ears.
Inclusive, sensitive, Di-ver-si-ty
Are words that were used to intimidate me.
Now, Daschle! Now, Darden! Now, Sharpton! Wolf Blitzen!
On Boxer! On Rather! On Kerry! On Clinton !
At the top of the Senate, there arose such a clatter,
To eliminate Jesus in all public matter.
And, we spoke not a word as they took away our faith,
Forbidden to speak of salvation and grace.
The true Gift of Christmas was exchanged and discarded,
Reason for the season was stopped 'fore it started.
So, as you celebrate "Winter Break" under your "Dream Tree",
Sipping your Starbucks, please listen to me.
Choose your words carefully, choose what you say,
Shout "MERRY CHRISTMAS"... not Happy Holiday .

What is the meaning of my name

I was looking at Christy's Blog http://creescreation.blogspot.com/ and at the end I saw this link
http://www.blogthings.com/ they give you the meaning of your name, I thought it was cute! since they say my name in Elf means: "Dixie Mince Meat" and in Native American means: Kimi Alaqua => Secret Sweet gum tree, it also told me that I was 75% nice and 25% naughty this yeas so I can expect gifts from Santa, (YEAH!) I'm also Rudolph the red nose reindeer, and a lemon cake, Je, Je, Je , take a look, it also said that I had only 48% of experience in life, and I thought I was wise :(, and I have the personality disorder of Marilyn Monroe, and to think that i really like her!
have fun

Sabbath Day

We are thought to keep the Sabbath day holly, and do something constructive; I mean! write a letter, make a phone call to someone we haven't seen in a while, or someone we didn't see at church, visit the sick and bring them the visiting message, do your monthly visiting teaching, read the scriptures, prepare a lesson for next week class; the list is endless, as long we keep it Holy, but I think loafing around is not a right way to keep it holy, I apologize for that; it looks like I'm high on cracker jacks, and I took Samantha down with me. Sometimes we need to rest, we are just "Spiritual beings having human experiences" I was listening when Bishop Evans gave that quote, it was really inspiring, and here I am doing a profound thinking about it. :D

Happy Thanksgiving!

After a year of many difficulties and changes, after a lifetime of trials and errors, of lessons taught and received, of people coming and going, Thanksgiving is the only day we say thanks for what we have? what about give thanks for what we don't have? ; did you ever thought of that? Do you give thanks for what you have on a regular basis? I think if we don't have something either spiritual of temporary (material) it's for a reason, we are not ready to handle it; give thanks for that, someone out there is thinking of you and what you need to have, My mother says "God will squeeze but won;t strangle", what we receive every day, air sunshine, rain, cold, food, a "good morning", are enough reasons to say "Thanks for what I'm receiving today"
Thanks for my friends, Thanks for the lessons I receive every day, they help me live and grow, they prepare me for my future, I give thanks for what I have and what I don't, I give thanks for my family and my wonderful husband, he is a big help and my big love, he is my "knight in shiny armor" I give thanks that the Lord put him in my way, and me on his, I give thanks for my little girl, she had brought out the goodness and cheerfulness out of me, she is a blessing to have. I give thanks for my son, having him has help me grow and learn. I give thanks for my life and my health. For all that and the things I don't see, I give thanks, Today and every day.
Happy Thanksgiving

Awwgh!

My husband is nagging me! I don't want to cook, it's Sunday, there is lots of cereal and some left overs, What's wrong with that? I don't want to cook.
Samantha is fine with eating left overs, she even will agree to eat mac & Cheese and she will make it; isn't she cute! :D. Anyway, I don't cook on Sundays never did and never will, what's the deal? Steven will make himself a sandwich but Walt will starved because I don't want to cook.
I do not cook on Sundays, and nothing will make me do it.

What a week

What a week! since last week we been so busy, and when I say we, I really mean just me! :D
Having few hour in the morning helps a lot. Monday I was so busy I can't remember what I did, I just remember going out for some veggies.
Tuesday I had to do few things in the morning that I even forgot my Dr's appointment in Cromwell, I had to run after Samantha got home to the doctor's, just because they call me, anyway, I had to go and pick up the fundraiser orders, that I didn't have time to do because I had to stop in BJ's and get some food; I had some starving people over here; then to fix up the turkey, that took me a while since the beast was frozen stiff; AWWWW!! anyway somehow when I put my head in the pillow I was out cold .
Today I went to the schools for the fundraiser that is not doing well, (hopefully next week we'll do better); then I came home to organize the few orders I got, and I'm not done yet. then I had to cook dinner before I go to the meeting at church, when I come back i will have to feed the oven with the turkey :D get it? , clean a little and go to bed.
Men think they can do many things, but the fact I wake up 10 minutes after he leaves in the morning, doesn't really mean I sleep till late. Steven wakes up at 6 am to get ready to go to school, and that is something; the kid is very hard to deal with. At 7am he leaves to school, at 8am I get Samantha ready for the bus that picks her up at 8:45, then I start cleaning the mess. . . can they do that? well life is not easy and to run a home is not different from going to work every day, lets trade and see if they can do it!!!!

Kids are out to School

After getting up at 6:55 am and rush to get Steven ready in 5 minutes, believe me it was amazing we did it. Steven is a kid who takes all the hot water from the tank to take a shower, then he sits on the shower and let the water get on him, no soap, no shampoo, if he gets shampoo on him he puts it on the front and top of his head but forgets about the back of his head, it is frustrating to see him take a shower. Anyway he got ready couldn't find his shoes, didn't want to brush his teeth, and went out at 7:05 am the bus got his 5 minutes later.
1 out 1 to go
I try to get Samantha up at 7:45 and she cried all the way out, she didn't want to go to school, am I a bad mom because I send her to school when she didn't want to go? she said that his friend Walter is mean with her, who knows maybe he is. Well she finally got on her feet, we took the dog for a walk and talk about been good at school, then she left fine. I called her teacher and told her that she didn't want to go to school and had rough morning, just in case she still upset when she gets there Mrs Rupe will know why. I know she'll be fine, but deep inside scares me to see her crying before she goes to school, it makes me feel worry, and very concern of her well being. Only Samantha knows what is going on when she is not around me or dad, I just pray every day that she will talk to me if something is wrong.
2 out the morning is mine :D

Samantha Is Better

Samantha is Doing much better now, Her fever is down and she is taking the medicine by herself, we don't have to make her cry to get her to take it. she went to school today, even though I was worry, she did fine. She is not eating much either, that really worries me, since she is a good eater. The blessing she received on Sunday help her so much. I really appreciate that wonderful tool.
I'm running a fund raiser (two actually) and today i passed the last 317 books to the school, WOW, it took me one hour to do it, and the whole weekend to put the package together. The school is getting a good amount of money from this fundraisers. I just need to clear out my desk and organize myself a little bit more. so I won't confuse the two fund raisers, I'm sure it will be alright, since I have my sister in law running the finances from both schools, She has a degree in accounting, that will help a lot.

Intro

Well! as I write on my personal journal every day, I had decided to create a blog. If you guys don't mind I will create a link to those blogs that I receive.
There is not much of my life that needs to be public, but I have many stories I can share. I love that. I'm not sure how often can you post a new comment but I will try not to be boring or overwhelming. This blogging thing is new for me, I'm more of a website creator, I will post the links so you can see my work.
Thank you for reading.
Scripture of the Day

"Bring ye all the tithes
into the storehouse, that
there may be meat in mine house,
and prove me now herewith,

if I will not open you the
windows of heaven, and pour
you out a blessing, that
there shall not be room enough
to receive it
